Teruhide started his career as a kimono designer and later switched to making woodblock prints. More than ten of these prints included flowers, usually the cherry. Twelve examples are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Teruhide often used a strongly vertical format for his prints, similar to traditional Japanese hanging scrolls. Each picture’s flower subject was drawn accurately.
